Help Desk Technician

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for the support and administration of corporate hardware and desktop applications, including remote support/administration. This position will work as part of the Essential Access Health IT team to provide installation, configuration, troubleshooting/maintenance, and support of desktops, printers, and mobile devices per company standards.

The salary for this position is $55-60k. This position is based in the organization's Los Angeles office with a hybrid remote/in-office.

Description of Duties
  • Serve as the first point of contact for end users and provide technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot to determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by the end users.
  • Guide end users through problem-solving processes.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel when necessary
  • Follow up with end users to ensure their issue has been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from end users about computer usage
  • Document issues and ensure all solutions are logged and organized appropriately
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements to procedures
  • Develop training manuals and SOP’s
  • Provide effective and efficient customer service while training end users
  • Additional duties, as assigned.
Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT setting.
  • Experience in a Help Desk setting.
  • CompTIA A+/Network+ experience.
  • Proven ability to work successfully within a collaborative relationship.
  • Experience with digital technology platforms and online tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong planning, organizing and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to use electronic communications systems.
