“Voters made their voices heard this election cycle, and the message they sent was loud and clear - abortion access matters, and the ability to make intimate decisions about our bodies, health, and futures matters.
“Ballot initiative campaigns to protect abortion rights went undefeated in blue and red states. In California, voters overwhelmingly supported Proposition 1 to enshrine the right to abortion and to use and refuse birth control in our state’s constitution. Essential Access Health is proud to have been a part of the Yes on Proposition 1 Campaign Committee, and this critical effort to safeguard the ability to obtain essential health care for generations to come.
“Although abortion has been weaponized as a divisive issue, the fact is that 1 in 4 people who can get pregnant will have an abortion by age 45. This isn’t just politics, it’s personal. The election results proved that voters in California and across the country understand that when the right to abortion and bodily autonomy is taken away, everyone loses.”
